What Foods Are Genetically Modified?

Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are in THE MAJORITY of packaged and processed foods but are currently not labelled.  Until labeling laws by consumer demand eventually become adopted, you can avoid GM foods by not eating any of the following foods or ingredients made from these foods.  CHECK THOSE INGREDIENT LABELS to avoid the potential harmful effects these foods can have on your health.

Corn (or any corn products, such as high fructose corn syrup, corn oil, corn starch, corn meal, etc.)

Soy (or any soy products, such as soybean oil, soy milk, soy protein, etc.)

Sugar (most is derived from GMO sugar beets, cane sugar is non-GMO)

Canola Oil

Cotton and Cottonseed Oil

Hawaiian Papayas

Tomatoes (some are GMO for longer shelf life)
