Biggest Threats to Your Brain Power

Since your brain controls all of the functions of your body, doesn’t it make sense to take care of it so it can take care of you?  There are several serious threats to your brain.  Many of these are lurking in your food.  Avoiding these threats and feeding your brain what it needs to stay strong and healthy will ensure that your brain takes care of you.


Here are the WORST threats to your brain power:

Sugar, especially High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS).  HFCS has been shown to interfere with how brain cells communicate with each other which impairs thinking and thought processing.

Trans Fats.  These fats, listed as hydrogenated oils on ingredient labels, cause serious damage to your brain and cardiovascular system.

Omega-6 Oils.  If your dietary fat sources are from corn, soybean, peanut, grapeseed, sunflower or other oils with high omega-6 fat, your brain will become inflamed and damaged.

Gluten.  An intestine-damaging protein commonly found in wheat, barley and rye can also cause excessive brain inflammation and subsequent brain damage.  Gluten is in bread, pasta and other foods containing these grains.

Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Flouride, Artificial Sweeteners, Colorings and Preservatives.  These chemicals are toxic to your brain and cause brain damage.

Chronic Pain.  Pain has been shown to cause brain shrinkage (loss of gray matter).  Avoiding chronic pain by getting regular chiropractic adjustments will help your pain and your brain.

Exercise.  Consistent exercise increases blood flow and oxygen to your brain.  Studies have shown it improves brain performance and can prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s.
