My approach to making you better is to find what is not working in your body that is causing your pain or others symptoms.
The pain, tightness or numbness you are experiencing is likely due to bones and joints that are shifted out of place (misalignment) and nerves that are creating muscle tightness and weakness (bad wiring).
The trauma and injuries you experience throughout life are the reason these two problems occur. Injury and pain cause your body to compensate. Compensations distort your posture, shift bones and joints out of proper alignment, and create muscle tightness, weakness, and a loss of flexibility. Compensations change the way you were naturally designed to move. Months and years of compensation lead to the chronic wear and tear conditions many of us suffer from, including arthritis, disc herniations, disc degeneration, tendinitis, bursitis, and repeated muscle strains, just to name a few.
My approach is to find which bones and joints are shifted out of place, where you are tight, lack flexibility, and where you have muscle weakness. I also watch how you move, walk, squat, etc. The way you move tells me a lot about what is working and what is not.
Once I determine what is not working, I design a treatment plan specifically for you to fix the underlying cause of your condition, whether it is misalignment, loss of flexibility or weakness. Your treatment is a safe, simple and straightforward process in which I reset your alignment and reprogram your nervous system to control your body like it once did before.
Your malfunctioning nervous system is analogous to a sluggish computer that has corrupted software and is having trouble accessing certain files. Fixing the computer inside you involves “rebooting” your alignment and nervous system.
I use many different types of chiropractic adjustments and manual therapy methods to reset and reprogramming your body so it works properly. The two primary methods I use to accomplish this are Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS).
In conjunction with your chiropractic treatment, the exercises I prescribe are designed to “retrain your brain” so your alignment and nerve problems hold their correction for as long as possible.
My approach is to find and treat the underlying cause of your symptoms rather than just treating your symptoms alone. Fixing what is not working is the key to making you better long-term.
